Columbia Theological Residence Hall is a 3 story building located in Decatur, Georgia. Shumate Mechanical installed the HVAC system that regulates temperature and ventilation for the various apartment floor plans, bathrooms, community kitchen and work out area. Equipment installed included 51 Carrier water source heat pumps, 61 Cook exhaust fans, 3 pumps, 2 Yaskawa variable frequency drives and 1 electric unit heater. Direct Digital Controls on this project were installed by Integrated Systems Inc. The cost effective mechanical system installed helped earn this project LEED Gold certification.
