As part of the first phase of the Tucker High School renovation, Shumate Mechanical installed the mechanical system per plan and specifications. Equipment installed included 2 Lochinvar boilers, 2 Evapco cooling towers, 9 split systems, 14 electric heaters, 4 Aaon energy recovery units, 43 Cook exhaust fans, 1 Sondex heat exchanger, 5 Bell & Gossett pumps, 2 ITT pumps, 14 power induction units, 3 Trane rooftop units, 6 variable air volume units, 5 ABB variable frequency drives and 35 water source heat pumps. DDC controls performed by Control Concepts, Inc. The second phase included the installation of 6 Trane Constant Volume Rooftop Units, 5 Trane variable air volume Units, 54 Powered Induction Units, 9 variable air volume Units, 9 Trane split systems, 3 ductless split systems, 1 water source heat pump, 2 Makeup Air Units for the Kitchen and 23 exhaust fans. Phase II of this High School Renovation is slated to be completed in November, 2010.
