The Woodward Academy is a 61,000-sq-ft building that houses classrooms, science labs, administrative offices, a cafeteria and in-door sporting facilities. Equipment installed to provide optimal conditioning included 64 geothermal water source heat pumps, 2 energy recovery units and 2 ductless split systems. This project is currently seeking LEED certification, and contributing to this is the use of geothermal wells in the heating and cooling process.
